Organs with different origin but the same functions are known to be analogous.

 Examples of Analogous Structures:

Wings of insects, Pterodactyl, birds and bats are meant for flying but with different origin.

Analogous Structures

Fins of a fish and the flippers of a whale are superficially similar structures, doing similar functions but their internal structure is dissimilar.

Phylloclades, cladodes and phyllodes perform the function of leaf but differ in structure and origin.
