Example of Storage Devices

 There are various storage devices of a computer. 

Hard Disk: A hard disk or hard disk drive is a nonvolatile storage device that can retain the stored data even when there is no power supply to the device. A hard disk comes in different storage capacities, such as 320 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB, and 5 TB. Hard disk drives have been the standard form of storage in computers for many years due to their relatively low cost and large storage capacities. 

Portable Hard Disk it is also known as an external hard disk. this hard disk is not fixed the CPU cabinet, therefore,  it is a secondary memory device.It can be easily carried anywhere.

SSD (Solid State Drive)  are the new generation of storage devices. These are becoming more common and popular storage drives today. A solid-state drive is a non volatile storage that stores data using flash memory. 

CD stands for Compact Disc. It is thin, round disc. Astandard CD can store up to 700 MB data. To access the data stored in a CD, a computer system must have a CD-ROM drive.

DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc. A DVD stores much more data than a CD. A standard DVD can store 4.7 GB of data.

Blue-ray Disc: A blu ray  disc looks like a CD or a DVD. It is used to store high-definition Videos. It can store up to 25 GB data on each side. 

Pen Drive: A pen drive is also known as a flash drive. It is used for transferring data. It is a  rewritable device. A flash drive comes in various storage capacities; such as 2GB, 4 GB, 8 gb, 16 GB, 32 GB, and so on. 

Memory Card: Memory cards are also called multimedia cards. These cards tiny are used as a storage medium in mobile phones, digital cameras, and portable music players. It comes in different storage capacities.such as 4 GB, 8 GB, 16GB, 32 GB and so on.
