1. Diurnal animals: Animals which remain active during day.
Examples: Most birds, most mammals, butterflies
2. Nocturnal Animals: Animals which are active during night.
Examples: Owl, Bat, Cockroach, foxes, badgers, snails and hedgehogs.

3. Auroral : Animals which remain active at dawn (early hours of the day)
Examples: Bubalcus
4. Vesperal : Animals which remain active during dusk(late hours of day)
