Example of Total Stem Parasites

Cuscuta europaea
Cuscuta is a total stem parasite that grows on a number of plants like Duranta, Zizypus, Citrus, etc. It is popularly known as dodder plant. 

Arceuthobium minutissimum of family Loranthaceae is another interesting total stem parasite found growing on Pinus excelsa in Himalayas. It is considered as smallest dicot.
