Example of Partial Root Parasites

Santalum album commonly called sandal wood tree is an important example of partial root parasite. It grows on the roots of Dalbergia, Eucalyptus, and Albizzia. The sucking roots of the plant attack the roots of the host trees and from them nutrients is absorbed.

Thesium is  parasitic on the roots of grasses.

Rhinanthus is an another example for partial root parasite.
